The Visual Communication Design undergraduate program is a full-time, 4-year program. The language of instruction is Turkish, and there is no mandatory preparatory class.
Student admissions are based on the VERBAL SCORE type from the exam organized by ÖSYM. Students admitted to the department through ÖSYM and DGS can request exemption from common courses they have previously completed by submitting a detailed transcript attached to a petition. These applications are evaluated by the Faculty Adaptation and Exemption Commission.
Visual Communication Design students are required to complete two mandatory internships, one within an institution and one outside an institution. Students must take a capstone project in the 7th and 8th semesters. The capstone project can be either project-based or thesis-based, depending on the field of study.
Students who successfully complete the Visual Communication Design Program receive a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design and earn the title of “Visual Communication Designer.”
